The population of Tingambato (in Purepecha dialog means "The Temperate Hill) is located just 28 kms from the city of Uruapan. Here lies the ruins of Tinganio, which was part of the Purépecha culture.
This site shows two constructive stages: one that could be seen 450AD to 600AD of the Christian era in which it starts building up the population and ceremonial center and another dating from 600AD to 900 AD Teotihuacan with strong influence in the architecture by the presence of slope-technical board and the ball game.
